So far in 2019, there have been dozens of children's products recalled due to safety concerns. Defective products can cause all sorts of injuries in children. Products that cause suffocation can lead to brain damage, which can cause developmental and cognitive delays, or even death. Products that overheat or are flammable can cause burn injuries. And of course, food products that are contaminated can cause illness.
What is concerning is that all of these health and safety risks have been included in the list of ongoing children's product recalls for 2019.

Why Parents Should Pay Attention to RecallsParents should never take their children's safety for granted. Products are only recalled after a manufacturer or regulating agency determines there is a safety risk. Parents should pay attention to safety alerts or recalls of children's products in order to keep their families safe. Recalled children's products can be extremely dangerous, or even life-threatening. By being aware and taking action, parents can reduce the risk of injury to their children.
