I am so excited about this post for 2 reasons. One, because these pants are the closest I've gotten to celebrating Christmas, and secondly, because it is the start of a "1 look, 2 ways" series with The Golden Girl Blog. Jess has awesome style, and it is completely different than mine...which will be a breath of fresh air for my readers. We think this series will be both entertaining and helpful for a few reasons. It is always fun to see how two people with very different style incorporate the same piece into their wardrobe. Whether it is a coat, bag, purse, shoes, pants, top, etc. - everyone styles pieces differently, and seeing this, will hopefully trigger a creative outlet in your mind.
We also want to focus on how to wear the same piece in different settings and occasions. For example, in this post Jess shows how to wear the plaid pants for a night out (or more formal look). From everything to her hair, statement necklace, and Vince Camuto sweater, all the way to her Jeffrey Campbell Heels, and blood red purse...her outfit screams a flawless night-out-on-the-town look. Naturally, I chose to exemplify the (boring) casual, day-time look. Pairing the pants with a white Monrow sweatshirt and basic black booties allow them to do most of the talking in the outfit.
