Pan Fried Chicken Kothe

Asia seven running Yum Cha Festival at Asia Seven, Mumbai, and Gurgaon both locations, starting March 15, 2014 till April 15, 2014.
When we got invite to review their yum cha festival menu, at both locations in Mumbai and delhi, I was really looking forward to taste some yummy dimsums.
Yum cha (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: 飲茶), also known as Ban ming(品茗), is a Chinese stylemorning or afternoon tea, which involves drinking Chinese tea and eating dim sum dishes. Yum cha in Cantonese Chinese literally means "drink tea", while ban ming is a more poetic "tasting of tea".
In the U.S. and UK, the phrase dim sum is often used in place of yum cha; in Cantonese, dim sum (點心) refers to the wide range of small dishes, whereas yum cha, or "drinking tea", refers to the entire meal.”Yum Cha is Chinese style morning or afternoon tea which also involves eating dimsum along with it.Asia Seven, located at third floor of Ambience Mall, Gurgaon serves pan-asian cuisines. Dimsums has gained popularity in last decade. Now you can find it almost everywhere and every corner of the road people selling as low as Rs 40.

In their unlimited offer they have around ten types of non-veg dimsums and similar numbers in veg as wellNon-vegetarian section has chicken, shrimp/prawns, pork, scallops with unlimited servings. These are available throughout the day even during lunch and dinner and also wwhen they have their regular buffet.Being a non-vegetarian I didn’t try their veg dimsums J. they had Scallop Shui Mai,Spicy Pork Dumpling,Prawns Har Gow,Chive Prawns Dumpling,Crystal Shrimp Dumpling,Prawns Shui Mai,Coriander Water Chestnut & Shrimp Dumpling,Chicken Shui Mai,Chicken Kothe,Pan Fried Chicken Kothe,Chicken Bao. Out of all dimsums which I tried I personally I liked the prawns har grow/prawns shui mai and spicy pork dumplings. Though pork dumplings were little sweet for me, however I loved the taste of pork.I am not a big chicken fan, but I enjoyed my every bite of chicken dimsum. The size of these dimsums were huge. Scallops dimsums were little disappointing and I couldn’t get any flavor\ taste and they failed to impress me.

What surprised me most about this promotional festival is the price point. As the competitive market is booming, food establishments have introduced very pocket friendly offers. At Asia 7 , Yam Chha festival is placed at INR 799++ for which , all-you-can-eat is dimsum baskets and herbal teas! Sprinkle it up with tastefully done ambience and very friendly  service, this is an experience you shouldn’t miss. Though Asia 7 might not be the unique fine dining place they aspire to be, this place is capable of converting your ordinary moments special.
