According to a recent report from Microsoft India, Windows Phone 8.1 will arrive to existing devices during the second week of July. New handsets running WP 8.1 have already been released in several global markets.
Windows Phone 8.1 coming to existing devices soon.
“The Windows Phone 8.1 update will roll out to existing Windows Phone 8 users during the first two weeks of July.”
Microsoft India didn’t mention which devices will get the update first, but it might come to the Lumia 520, the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020 first. Although the update will become available soon, it could take a few weeks for the roll out to be complete, so be patient. WP 8.1 is already rolling out in parts of Argentina and Finland, for Lumia 925 users.
Windows Phone 8.1 comes with a couple of new and interesting features, such as Cortana, the Action Center, improved lock screen customization etc.
