Plot: Tired of life on the run, two expert thieves and best friends recruit feisty Sam to assist them with one last job unlike any they’ve done before.

Story: Wingwomen starts when expert thieves Carole (Laurent) and Alex (Exarchopoulos) decide they are tired of the life of crime. Their boss Godmother (Adjani) doesn’t want to let them just walk away from this life, knowing they are the best in the business.

When the pair try to walk away, Godmother hunts them down, forcing them into another job. The pair reluctantly take the next job with a new recruit Sam (Bresch) to be their new driver. With a new team together, they must put their differences aside to complete the job.

Verdict on Wingwomen

Wingwomen is an action comedy following a pair of thieves who try to leave the criminal world. However, their boss isn’t going to let them walk away easily. It then sees them recruiting a new member and completing a new job for their boss in hopes it will give them a chance to escape this world.

This is an action comedy that brings a differently point of view to the heist movie. While the basic idea of wanting to leave the business and the boss not letting them, is a traditional one we see a lot. We have the female characters needing to leave for reasons outside of the ones presented the male ones. The unity between the pair is brilliant and feels natural throughout. While the heist side of things all runs smoothly throughout the movie. An entertaining movie to watch, which keeps things more int eh fun tone, than action heavy concept.
