Wine Wednesday Dafnios 2010

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Scott and I were reminiscing about Greece and happened to be at our local liquor store and found a bottle of Greek wine. From a different region than where we visited but it had very similar characteristics.

That old world style, heavier red with notes of tannins and almost brown in color. From the Island of Crete, made with the Liatiko grape. This wasn’t one I had seen before in the U.S. and it was really good with the steak we made for a date night. Around $16 a bottle this Dafnios Red Wine was decently priced, more than you would see it sell for in Greece but a very drinkable bottle of wine. Especially to think about our amazing trip over.
