The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco was way better than I thought it would be.  Hilarious! I never realized just how many movies James Franco has been in and shockingly how many of them I've seen.  Seth Rogan hosted and he was a great roastmaster.  My fave Rogan quote: "Franco you look like your asleep...did you just read a James Franco book?" Roasters included: Nick Kroll, Sarah Silverman, Aziz Ansari, Bill Hader, Jonah Hill, Andy Samberg, Jeff Ross, and some woman named Natasha something. Nick Kroll had a good one, "If James opens his eyes there will be six more weeks of Summer." It was fun just to watch Jonah Hill laughing for the entire hour and a half. I hope he was wearing an adult diaper of some kind, because he was hysterical.  He had one of the best Franco jokes,  "If anyone bombs tonight, it's just them doing an impression of James Franco at the Oscars". Bill Hader KILLED as The President of Hollywood and of course Jeff Ross was brilliant as always.  You can't have a roast without him.  The great part about this roast was that everyone, including James Franco, was really able to laugh at themselves and each other and who knew that James Franco was so roastable? Nice to see the roasting tradition passed down to the next generation. They definitely made their predecessors proud.  This was a good one guys, check it out when you have a minute, of course Comedy Central is re-running the hell out of it so you shouldn't have any issues finding it.
Under the Dome
Caught up on Under the Dome last night and of course it's getting out of control now. That crazy beeatch, Max, shot Julia, the chick from Twilight and Jack Bauer/Barbie saved her life twice using a pen! When Big Jim's crazy son Junior broke away from the dome kids a Sharknado looking storm broke out and of course Angie figured out in seconds that it was the dome telling the kids they had to stick together. Once Crazy Junior agreed to play nice with the kids, the storm died down and the gang went over to the dome to touch it together but that didn't bring the dome down. It told the kids they had to go kill Big Jim!  So weird to see Big Jim on Tuesday night when he was Hank on Sunday night.  I have to keep um both straight.  Big Jim killed Max and her Mom and convinced the Sheriff that Barbie was behind it all, which was totally untrue and now Barbie's on the run and has to prove he's innocent.  JUST LIKE JACK BAUER!!!
We're the Fugawi's
I literally only lasted 5 minutes with this one.  It was billed as a real life Sons of Anarchy type thing, but there's not one dude in the group the resembles ANYONE in SAMCRO so I handed the remote to my husband for the remainder of the night and deleted the 2nd episode and the Season Pass. I could care less about the where the hideous Fugawi's are and what they're doing.
NEWS & INFORMATION:

-Woke up this morning to get great news...Newsroom has officially been renewed for a 3rd season by HBO. More brain aches for me, but I'm still happy about it. I love it even though I need to Google everything after an episode. I do understand the entire Genoa storyline this season which is making it really enjoyable.  I love Aaron Sorkin.  I'm sure he's not reading this blog, but if someone sees him, please let him know how.  Been there from the beginning bud!  I've definitely increased some IQ points because of him, so thanks for that AS!
-I gave True Blood the boot after Season 2 which was the one with that crazy meat lady minot thing.  I know, I know, seasons 3 & 4 were pretty good, but I never went back to it.  HBO announced yesterday that the next season of True Blood will be its last.  Most of you have said that this season wasn't that great. Sometimes its fine to just tell a great story and wrap it up when it should be wrapped up.  Sure we want the good ones like Friday Night Lights and Breaking Bad to last forever, but too much of a good thing always ends badly...we've seen it happen so many times.  (Send in some examples!!!) So for all of you true blue, True Blood fans, prepare yourself for the end.  It can't be half as bad as what all of us Breaking Bad lovers will be going through in a few more weeks.
-FXX, the new FOX cable network launched on Monday to a decent start.  Compared to Fox Soccer Channel's September 2012 averages, FXX was up 315% against RA18-49 and 209% in Total Viewers.  They have a really strong line up of shows including one of my all time favorites, the Aaron Sorkin comedy, Sports Night.  If you've never seen that one, get a season pass right now. Definitely, must see TV and Aaron Sorkin way easier to understand than Newsroom. Tonight, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for its 9th season, and The League returns for it's 5th on the new net.
-I think I need to check out The Exes on TV Land. I've never seen it before and it seems to be getting a bit of buzz lately.  The show just delivered it's highest rated season ever against  RA25-54 up 21% vs. last season.  TV Land ordered 10 more episodes of the show which is centered around 3 unlikely divorced roommates played by Donald Faison (Name his character from the movie Clueless for 5 bonus points), Wayne Knight (Helllo Newman) and David Alan Basche, who have finally found bromance after initially being forced to live together by their divorce attorney and landlord, played by Kristen Johnson.
-Over 100,000 people got a sneak peak of Homeland's Season 3 premiere over the Labor Day weekend.  It wasn't the final version, but a working version was leaked via Bit Torrent.  While I wasn't one of those people, I don't do that sort of thing ever, I am REALLY jealous of those that got to see it.  If I run into one of you though...DON'T SPOIL IT FOR ME!  I want to watch when everyone else does.  It's hard enough not talking about Orange is the New Black, Orphan Black and Breaking Bad for fear of spoilage, if I have to add Homeland, I think my head would explode.
-A quick shout out to Entertainment Weekly this week. Their How I Met Your Mother tribute issue is really well done. I learned a ton of facts about the show, there were recaps from each season as well as an ABC section.  I don't want to give anything away, because I'm going to use a lot of it all for Trivia questions throughout the season.  Great Job EW. This weeks issue's a keeper and they aren't paying me for this, but for any of you that have SiriusXM, their new channel is awesome for TV lovers.  Dalton Ross has a show that I listen to on my way home from work (when I'm not catching up with Howard Stern) that is so much fun us hard core addicts.
Wednesday's Trivia Question: Malin Akerman, Bradley Whitford & Marcia Gay Harden. Name their new show on ABC.
