Life in the country is calm and peaceful. Some might even say it’s downright boring.
So when I spotted a white kangoroo I got all excited. Snapping pictures of the thing with my smartphone like a mad woman. Then I rushed home and shouted: ‘You’ll never guess what mommy saw today!’
‘A tree?’ my eldest son asked looking bored.
‘No, I saw a white kangaroo!’ I told him triumphantly.
‘Right. And dad loves to go shopping with you,’ he mumbled.
I was quite taken aback! Here I was, telling tales of an adventure featuring me and an exotic animal, and all I got was disdain!
It’s a good thing I’ve got the proof on my phone!
