When a Client Shuts Down...Literally

Stock-roadclosedsignWhen a client shuts down operations, it can be incredibly disconcerting on so many levels. Making sure you don't put all your revenue eggs in a single client basket is a good idea. Diversifying even further - particularly as a consultant - into other revenue generating areas is also smart.
I'm in that mode right now - Active Diversification.

For the last six months, in between book tours, speaking appearances and consulting - I've been deliberately exploring ways to extend what I do into products and packaged services to be much more efficient with my time. I really want to provide tangible value to others while building a business that is diverse, creative, and not solely reliant on a single contract or the limitations of my own time.
