Weekend Roundup: Peaches & Raspberries

Summer’s over and with it go the fresh seasonal peaches that I cooked and baked with quite a bit over the season. Flash freezing, blanching, cutting, canning and jamming are just a few of the many ways I prepared my peaches throughout the summer. Jam making was a new skill that I cultivated and I do declare that I am hooked. My Tomato Lemon Marmalade was a hug hit so I knew I had to create a jam that paid homage to the wonderful peach. My Simple Peachpeaches Raspberry Jam fit the bill quite nicely. Jam is great since it is essentially fruit and sugar and cooking in the crock pot makes it even easier to prepare. Stay tuned for the recipe later this week and be sure to whip up your own jam to share with family and friends.
