Last July, we reported that Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) had signed on to do a movie called The Aftermath. In the film, he plays a drug addict who is determined to give a necklace to his estranged wife played by Sam’s real life significant other Missy Yager. The story centers on the journey he takes through a small southern town when the necklace is taken and what he goes through to get it back.
The Aftermath has already been shot but hasn’t been finished yet. That’s where Kickstarter comes in! Sam, co-writer/director Tim McCann, and the producers have turned to the crowd funding platform for the ability to complete post-production. This film was a passion project for everyone. No one drew a salary from it and co-writer/producer Shaun Sanghani financed the film. But really, it’s all better when you hear Sam explain it! Watch the video below:
