Uzumaki have shared the video for ‘Ugly Hunger’ ahead of the release of debut EP ‘Square One’ via Everything Sucks Music on 28th July. Vocalist and guitarist Alex Cheung says the song ‘Explores themes of self-depreciation, addiction and love’, adding that while it’s packed full of breezy and melodic Guided by Voices-style riffs, the lyrics are in a far darker space. An infectious blend of Britpop, shoegaze and the Seattle sound of the early ’90s, it’s a woozy joy as the band sing about changing their ways and minds – ‘The circle starts again.’.
Also, there are a selection of amazing dogs in the video.
