Fourth of July is long gone, but the spirit remains and I am celebrating that on the blog by wearing Red, White and Blue today. Red and blue paired together has always appealed to me, but that hint of white is like the icing the cake. It grounds this bright combination, but in a good way. I still don't understand why people have delegated this combination to just the month of July, it should be worn all year round without any hangups. Well, I love this color mix and enjoy incorporating it in an outfit, specially when the total of all the pieces is under a $100 ( accessories included ). Keep reading to learn how I did it.....
The $$ rundown :
skirt- Banana Republic (sale+extra 50%+extra 10% for cardholders+rewards)...paid= $38
top- Zara ( year end clearance ) ..............................................................................paid= $15
jacket- Lucky Brand via TJ Maxx ( everyday low price )........................................paid= $30
heels- Charlotte Russe ( clearance+ 15% welcome coupon )....................................paid= $15
-----------
GRAND TOTAL $98
$$ saving hacks:
1) never shy from the sale racks. Might take extra time and effort to scour the sale racks, but you never know what might dish out.
2) some shoppers find Zara unjustifiable price-wise. But their bi-annual sale is the most sought after sale and FYI- they are having one now. So if you can wait: shop their bi annual sale, it's always a treasure hunt.
3) shopping at discounted designer stores like TJ.Maxx, Marshalls can be a hit or a miss. But when it is a HIT- it's like winning a Jackpot, just like my denim jacket that will stay in my closet for years to come.
denim jacket- Lucky Brand ( another option from lucky ) top- Zara ( loving this peplum printed top ) skirt -Banana Republic, buy same ( a pencil skirt option ) heels- Charlotte Russe, buy same ( another one from CR )
Have a great day loves....
