I admit it. My two year and a half year old is spoiled. Being the only child, of course she is! She was also the first grandchild on both Zach and my side so she's used to all the extra attention from time to time ( before her other cousins were born! ) Now that she's getting older, I like to get her more practical items like clothing, books or educational toys. Speaking of toys, girlfriend has so many I literally don't know what to do at times!
When Uncommon Goods approached me and asked me to pick out something for my daughter, I had a hard time choosing what to get her. Zach and I love the movie UP and the slogan "Adventure is out there" so I thought it was the perfect gift for her to enjoy in the years to come! I also love that you're able to learn more about the artist/designer behind the product you're purchasing. For instance, this blanket was handmade by the talented Sandy Martin of Michigan and she uses all organic or recycled cotton products. The cotton is spun and knit into fabric and then screened and dyed with water-based inks. I love that there are not bleaches, heavy-metal inks or plastisols in the material.
I also chose a night light because Lily has been getting scared during the night. This nightlight is stunning you guys. Again, this Unicorn Night Light is made from recycled glass. The colors are magnificent and with Lily's new love of princess's and fairy tales, it's the perfect reminder to her as she drifts off to sleep that unicorns can be real and protect her.
