Television’s big night is almost here. Tonight, the 65th Emmy Awards will celebrate all things television, and even better, it’s hosted by Neil Patrick Harris (what isn’t?).
With Netflix breaking the television mold (check out Zer’s post: ...Change the Channel), and a few fan favorites nominated for their final seasons, it’s sure to be an exciting night.
As we head into the final hours before the show, everyone is making last minute predictions, and that includes 2WC. So here we go, 2WC’s 2013 Emmy predictions:
Outstanding Comedy Series:
Zer:
- Will Win: “30 Rock”
- Should Win: “The Big Bang Theory”
Stephanie:
- Will Win: “30 Rock”
- Should Win: “Veep”
Outstanding Drama Series:
Zer:
- Will Win: “Breaking Bad”
- Should Win: “Breaking Bad” or “House of Cards”
Stephanie:
- Will Win: “Breaking Bad”
- Should Win: “Breaking Bad”
Outstanding Mini-Series or Movie:
Zer:
- Will Win: “Phil Spector”
- Should Win: Full disclosure, I’ve only seen two of the nominees, neither of which are likely to win. However, out of those two I have to go with “Political Animals.”
Stephanie:
- Will Win: I have only seen one of the nominees, so I’m going to close my eyes, point, and go with, “Behind the Candelabra.”
- Should Win: “American Horror Story,” both because it’s the only one I’ve seen, and it’s an interesting new format for a television series.
Outstanding Variety Series:
Zer:
- Will Win: “The Daily Show”
- Should Win: “The Daily Show” or “The Colbert Report”
Stephanie:
- Will Win: “The Colbert Report”
- Should Win: “The Daily Show” or “The Colbert Report”
