burger boy and I enjoyed a delivery from our local Pasta Fiesta thanks to Menulog tonight.
We don’t order Italian takeaway often as burger boy’s Italian mom makes everything from scratch but it’s great to try something a little bit closer to home. We could have easily driven down to Pasta Fiesta and picked up our dinner but being a rainy night we felt a bit lazy so delivery it was.
Ordering online from Menulog was pretty easy. I just plugged in our postcode which brought up a list of restaurants which delivered to Yokine. There were plenty of local restaurants delivering pizza and Indian but we felt like Italian food tonight so Pasta Fiesta was an easy choice.
This is what we ordered with the $50 voucher provided by Menulog:
• Spaghetti Carbonara main $15.50
• Veal Scaloppine which came with a side of chips and choice of salad, spaghetti or vegetables $20.90
• Raspberry baby cone for dessert $4.90
• Complimentary garlic bread for spending over $30
Delivery was $8 with a minimum order of $20. We got a text message after we ordered confirming that our delivery would arrive at approximately 7:40pm which was exactly when Pasta Fiesta’s driver arrived with our dinner.
We enjoyed the Spaghetti Carbonara which was a yummy creamy combination of egg, cheese, ham and spring onions. The Veal Scaloppine’s flavours were right but we would have liked the veal to be a bit more tender. The raspberry baby cone was a bit smaller than I expected but it would have been fine for junior burger if he/she were already out & about. Although for $4.90 vs. size next time I’d go without dessert.
Pasta Fiesta was an easy dinner option and I’d order the Spaghetti Carbonara again via Menulog. What I like most about Menulog is that you can pre-order before a restaurant opens and the site lets you know which restaurants are open on particular days/times at a glance. It’s also great that it enables small businesses to provide an online ordering service without forking out resources to launch their own.
