True Blood Season 7 to Premiere in the UK in July

Posted on the 09 April 2014 by Thevault @The_Vault

SEASON7NEWS2HBO recently announced the premiere date for the the last season, True Blood Season 7 in the US as June 22.  Now, FOX UK has decided to change their own plans for the vampire drama.

Instead of launching the final season in its usual Autumn slot, the broadcaster has announced that they will debut the series’ swan song in July, mere weeks behind the US broadcast on HBO. This is the latest such move on the part of FOX UK to premiere high-profile imports as close to US transmission as possible, understood to be part of an attempt to limit piracy as much as is possible. The channel did the same thing with AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead, debuting it less than 24 hours behind the US.

I’d say this is a smart move and we sure will be a very popular one for the UK audience.  No exact day in July has yet been announced that we can find, but as soon as we do, we’ll be sure to report it here.
