Tommyhawks release new single

With more collective energy than a bunch of kids on excursion to Perth zoo; prepare for hair-raising-raw vocals; melodic bass more in the pocket than your grannies hankie, dirty sax and distorted hooks that'll haunt you for days.

Hailing from the windy city; the Tommyhawks are a rockin' indi-folk foursome who explode with gutsy, blues-fueled songs. Their music finds that sweet spot between rollicking folk melodies and punk-infused blues. They're endearing, they're raucous, they're most things in-between...and they'll get you up and dancing. Since forming in 2014; the girls have built a small army of Perth fans; and are on a mission to get some East Coast groupies as they continue their love of #fourgirlsonevan and #groupweeingbythesideoftheroad style travel.

Following their debut EP 'We're All Meat And We're Gonna Get Eat' (Sept '15) The girl's lived in a van together for almost a month on the road, pushing their gear to venues in abandoned shopping trolleys, living on $4 pizza, hummus, baked beans and VB tins.

' Touring has brought us infinitely closer as a group (we're inseparable) and that really comes across in our new recordings ' Addison (vocals/guitar).

Collecting festivals like belt notches; they've played Nannup (WA); Bridgetown (WA); Hidden Treasures (WA); Narooma Great Southern Blues (NSW), Mitchell Creek (QLD), Jungle Love (QLD), Disconnect (WA); and are doing Fairbridge (WA), Mount Beauty (VIC) and St Kilda Fest in the coming months. The 'hawks ran a successful crowd-funding campaign in the lead up to Xmas to get straight back into the studio with legendary producer Dave Parkin to work on their second EP. New Friends is the first single...
