It is only responsbile for a father to teach his sons, especially, to desire peace but be willing to fight. Only that balance will bring about lasting peace. There will always be people who leave their neighbors in peace only because of the threat of war and death. To think that we can be nice and smile and be left in peace is the height of naivety.
My sons and I sat around singing Matisyahu’s One Day over at least three times in a row. They love the song! ♥ And it is angelic to hear them sing it, loudly and with passion! Wouldn’t it be beautiful, if could reach that level of social and spiritual evolution one day? How stupendous that would be! We should hunger for that kind of life, love and culture. But until that day comes, we prepare…
