Story: The Wolverine starts as Logan (Jackman) has given up on the world. However, a man he saved during World War II Yashida (Yamanouchi) makes him an offer. Logan heads to Japan to meet his old friend and finds out his granddaughter Mariko (Okamoto) is in danger.

Logan finds himself in the middle of a bigger battle, one where he must protect Mariko. However, he starts to question his sanity as he learns why he was invited to Japan. Logan must do everything he can to stop someone who wants his own powers.

Verdict on The Wolverine

The Wolverine is an action-adventure following Logan going on his next journey. This time we dive into his past, as he meets someone he once saved. The movie sees Logan trying to figure out what the family want from him years after their meeting.

This brings us a much more grounded comic book movie. It sees Logan struggling with his past while learning about people he has helped. The different culture in the backdrop of Japan helps make this even more interesting. Logan is by far the most interesting of all comic book characters. We can place him anywhere and build up a story that is interesting complex and action-packed.

Final Thoughts The Wolverine is an excellent addition to the X-Men universe.
