Baltimore: The Witch of Harju #1

Baltimore is one of the coolest characters you might not have ever heard of. Springing from the mind of Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, Baltimore is a battle-scarred ex-Navy man who spends his remaining days hunting monsters. On this particular adventure, he gives shelter to a woman running fro a possessed dead man.

Bodies #1

One of my favorite Darren Aronofsky movies is The Fountain. It is a love story that spans 3 different time periods with Hugh Jackman appearing in each timeline as a man in love with Rachel Weisz’s character. This sort of sounds like that but as a murder mystery. 4 detective in 4 different times investigate 4 different bodies.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye #19

Was the last Hawkeye issue seriously in March? Has it really been that long? That is way too long to wait for Marvel’s best book, especially when there sadly isn’t much less. They moved some issues around, and I think I talked about this issue in the wrong week. This is the one the special sign language ish that has been compared to Fraction’s great dog issue.

Justice League

Justice League #32

Last issue ended with the reveal of the new Doom Patrol. We saw some B-list members of the team get killed during Forever Evil, and Chief swore to rebuild the team bigger, better, and stronger. Now, we have a more recognizable team: Robotman, Mr. Negative, and Elast-girl. Plus, former Leaguer, Element Woman, is also with them. She has been missing since the JL and JLA were sucked into Firestorm. So has Vibe, maybe she knows where he is.

X-Men

Uncanny X-Men #24

The last issue of Uncanny X-Men was a tease. It said “Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier” on the cover, yet She-Hulk never got around to reading it. Why? Because everyone named in it had to be present, including Cyclops. Lame they stretched this out. Anyways, this should be a good one. Plus Dazzler’s new angry punk/glam look.

The Wake #10

Snyder’s finale to his drowning the world event and giant creepy mermaid ape people takeover. I know that sounds weird, but its pretty cool.
