The Perfect Solution: A Suspense of Choices by Ey Wade

Perfect Solution by Ey WadeWhen I was growing up as a child, my grandmother was my primary caregiver. I loved spending time with my grandparents and never really knew what it was like to go to a daycare center. As a mom, it was very hard finding someone to care for my children. I was a stay at home mom most of my older children’t life and had to put them into daycare when I was forced to go back into the workforce. I had my own fair share of struggles when it came to finding the right daycare provider for my kids. I ended up putting them in a daycare center because it was the most reliable place for them to go and I didn’t have to worry about missing work when the babysitter was sick.

When Ey Wade, contacted to me read one of her books I was immediately drawn to “The Perfect Solution”. It is a story about a single mother who was forced to find a new caregiver for her three year old son Brihn after his current babysitter decided to return to college. In fact, his current babysitter recommended a daycare center to Catrine and she went to check it out before enrolling her son. After touring the daycare, she was satisfied with the reviews and the center seemed like the perfect place for her son. It had teachers, cameras in each classroom, televisions lined the hallway and office so that the kids were closely monitored. Catrine was satisfied with what she saw and enrolled her son into their daycare program.

On Saturday, Catrine always took Brihn to eat breakfast at McDonald’s but didn’t notice that someone was closely watching her son. One afternoon, Catrine wasn’t feeling good and couldn’t pick her son up from daycare. After hours passed by, Catrine finally picked up the phone to call her sister to find out where her son was. Her sister was baffled because she thought Catrine already had him or asked someone else to pick her son up at daycare. Earlier that afternoon, a stranger went into the daycare and accidentally let Catrine’s son go home with a complete stranger. The daycare was crazy that afternoon and somehow the secuirty plan that was in place failed to protect her son that day. The stranger slipped out with Brhin.

Hours had already passed and Catrine immediately phoned the police. After talking to the police, she realized that she was going to have to call her ex-boyfriend and reveal to him that he has a son. She was always too afraid to tell him about getting pregnant after they broke up. As you know, when a child goes missing they usually contact the parents and people who are close to the child. When Adam, Catrine’s ex-boyfriend, was contacted by the police he was shocked to learn that he had a son. Once he left the police station, he was furious with Catrine.

Catrine demands answers from the daycare owner and uncovers countless issues that have been covered up at the daycare center. At this point she is furious because if the daycare was following their safety plan, none of this would have happened. In fact, Brihn was begging to stay at home but she insisted that he go to daycare so that he could play with his friends since his mom wasn’t feeling well.

I don’t want to tell you too much more about Ey’s book and spoil the details. I hope that you enjoyed this review.
