The Perfect Full Coverage Foundation

By Eveemadeup @eveemadeup
Hey guys,
Lets start by saying I am a huge fan of full coverage, I love the flawless finish I get from using it as well as the lasting power. I have a drier skin and have spent many years trying to find the best/perfect full coverage foundation...I've used loads and spent a fortune on them!
After years of searching and trying, I'm here to tell you my top 3...
Lets start with no.1...
Studio Fix Fluid (MAC) £20.50
Now there's a lot of talk about this particular foundation, some great and some not so great. I have to say in my professional and personal opinion this really is one of my faves! With minimal product it gives a nice medium to full coverage that is very buildable, (when they say buildable they really mean it!) you can just keep putting this on and the only thing you'll get is a more flawless result. It has a semi-matte finish which will appear more matte on a drier skin type. I would definitely recommend using a rich moisturiser first to help make it a little more moveable when applying.
It's also great for combination and oily skin types as it helps control oil and shine throughout the day (so less of that sweat look by lunch time!). Because of that silky matte finish I find it lasts really, really well too!! I do have to say the packaging is slightly frustrating, you have to buy a pump for it at £3.50. With no pump your bottle will become very very messy... but all in all a good thumbs up...👍

Silk Creme Smooth Foundation
(Laura Mercier) £32
This foundation is lovely for those of you with dry skin. It is an oil free foundation and gives you a beautiful luminous finish. Its highly pigmented formula really helps a little go a long using minimal product, it is however a little less buildable than something like Studio Fix Fluid. I also found this lasted me the longest out of all of the 30ml foundations (a whole month more!). Even though this is oil free I would say if you find you do get a shiny t-zone or have very oily skin, then you might find this adds to your shine. It does not have the lasting power of a matte foundation, so I find this needs setting with some kind of powder, a translucent powder works best!
All in all very good for dry skin and last really well...👍
No 3
Estée Lauder Double Wear £25
Now I do like this foundation but its definitely not my favorite out of the 3...I found it very, very thick! It's long wearing for up to 16 hours which means it tends to set on the skin meaning you really don't need to powder at all. It feels a little sticky when you first apply it and like Studio Fix Fluid, a good moisturiser underneath will really help achieve a smoother application. The great thing about this foundation is it's without a doubt the longest lasting on the skin. If used in the right way, this really can look amazingly flawless!👌
Hope this helps a bit.
