The Other Side of The Fjord

Kerteminde Fjord, that is…

When we left Fyns Hoved, I had a look at our map and I found a road that would lead us to the other side of Kerteminde Fjord. Munkebo is situated at the western side and I wanted to see the eastern side.

The weather had changed in the meantime. The gray skies had turned into dark gray and even black. It started to rain. A lot. Lars and I decided to drive slowly, looking for a place to park the car. When we had finally parked the car, the rain stopped.

I saw a couple of kayaks and a platform. Quite a narrow and long platform. How nice it would be to go to the end of this platform and take some pictures of Kerteminde in the distance. When I approached it, I saw that it was a lot higher and narrower than I had thought. I also saw that it was quite new. I took a deep breath – yes, I still suffer from a fear of heights – and put my two feet on the platform. It started moving… Yep, that platform wasn’t stable at all and I struggled to keep my balance and take some pictures.

But in the end I am quite happy with the pictures… I like the contrast between the pale color of the platform and the dark, ominous sky.
