The New Job Eve.

Posted on the 18 February 2013 by Jamesswezey
"Twas the night before the new job. The stomach was churning, the nerves on fire, and all of the butterflies were wearing rolling skates with rocket packs attached to them.." Not really, but that would have been me five years ago or so; how far I've come since then. Yeah there's still some anxiety and nervousness because it's a new job, but I feel quite confidant, and fortunately I know the gist of what I'm going to do, so I'm not scared or terrified...at least so far. After all, if I allow myself to get so anxious about this experience, all that I'm going to find out by the end of the week was that I stressed out for nothing. This is a really great learning opportunity for me, and I will be able to help some people at the same time; I think it's all going to turn out quite well, so wish me luck and send prayers and positive energy my way. It was a pretty chill day; I thought that I would keep it low key before I begin my new job, just in case my nerves had a change of rhythm. For the Oscars tonight there are the nominations for Best Production Design: Anna Karenina, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, and Lincoln. I've seen two of the films nominated but from what I've seen of the entire group overall I think that Les Miserables is going to win, although I would like to see Anna Karenina sag the Oscar. There's something about all of that sheer elegance that is enticing, versus the grittier, yet lovely design of Les Miserables. I think all of the nominations are deserved, although Lincoln I'm not so certain about. Anyways. Have a great week everyone, and for the first time in my life I will be joining the masses that work from Monday to Friday having the weekends off, if what I understand about my schedule is correct. Ciao!
