Story: The Legend of Lake Hollow starts when a group of friends, Mark (West), Dan (Rankin), Carson (Bald), Shay (Atwater) and Laurie (Barlowe) visit a remote lakeside cabin. It doesn’t take long for them to notice a trail cam around the area. This leads to them discovering something strange on the camera.
However, when they explore the area, they find themselves going around in circles searching for answers. When they meet an injured local, they learn about the dangers in the surrounding area. However, nothing could prepare them for what they will be facing next.
Verdict on The Legend of Lake Hollow
The Legend of Lake Hollow is a horror thriller following a group of friends who look to spend a weekend at a remote cabin. However, they soon find themselves dealing with the unexplainable. It all leads to them trying to uncover the truth before it is too late.
This is a horror that jumps straight into the mystery. Instead of spending too long dragging out meeting the characters, we get an instant question about the unknown around them. The more they investigate, the stranger the encounter appears, leading them to try and figure out what the problem is. There are genuinely surprising moments, we get a movie that feels like it could have been another scenario from the Cabin in the Woods selection.
