The Church of Nagycenk

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

Lars and I drove further to the west, to a village called Nagycenk:

According to our travel guide, there is a beautiful parish church in the village, devoted to Saint Stephen. Since Nagycenk isn’t very big, we quickly found it. We didn’t even need our GPS device.

Although the Baroque church of Györ and this one were built in different centuries – the one in Nagycenk dates from the 19th century -, there were a couple of similarities: the warm yellow walls and the lack of decoration outside. So, we were eager to have a look inside. Was it going to be as magnificent as the one in Györ?

Who knows… There was no red nose this time, blocking the entrance. The church was simply closed. We tried to open all the doors that we saw, but to no avail. So you will have to do with pictures that I took of the exterior.
