Taughannock Falls [near Ithaca, NY]

By Shattman
Here are two more examples of images derived from shooting with and without a 10-stop Neutral Density filter. Both were at f8 and ISO 200. The natural looking waterfall [top] was exposed for 1/45 sec., while the 'cottony' image [bottom] with the filter was exposed for 10 sec. A little brightening etc was done in Lightroom 3. I am not pleased about the discoloration produced with the filter, which seems to be a common occurrence, according to what I have read. Oh well -- conversion to B&W would cure it.
