Hello Metalheads! I want to present today on MetalWind a Spanish Melodic Power Metal band from Valencia with a great, powerful and melodic sound which is highly recommended for all the metal fans. I’m talking about Sylvania, a band formed in 2006 by Alberto Montoya and Rafael Navarro.
After the dissolution of his previous band Morgana, Alberto Montoya, guitarist and composer of Sylvania, proposed to create a new musical project and started to compose several songs, then he searched for new musicians to complete the band’s line-up and finally Sylvania was born.
Their first demo was released in 2008 with four songs “Al caer la noche”, “Sal de tu Prisión”, “Jugando a ser Dios” and “Lazos de Sangre” which would be subsequently included in their debut album. Shortly after Rafael Navarro leaves the band and Ángel Ortiz enters as Sylvania’s vocalist.
After several concerts in different locations of Valencia and the rest of Spain, Sylvania release the debut album in 2011 entitled “Lazos de Sangre” which was very well received by critics and the public.
We can find in this album fantastic tracks like “Sal de tu Prisión”, the powerful song “Lazos de Sangre” or the amazing masterpiece “Mi Juicio Final” with several collaborations, and you can also pay attention to “Jugando a ser Dios”, the awesome track “Al Caer la Noche” with great guitar solos and the song through which I discovered this great band and that I have a special affection “La Princesa Prometida”. I recommend that you don’t miss this great Power Metal band. At this moment Sylvania is preparing a new album, which will mark a new and promising stage in the musical life of Sylvania, following the departure of Ángel Ortiz and the incorporation of Álvaro López as new vocalist of the band.
