Oh I really do love a Christmas-y wedding – with all the coziness and snugness that comes with cold weather and a twinkly lights. In fact, looking at Karen & Nick’s wedding at Swinton Park Hotel makes me a little bit Christmas weepy. Sigh…. too many more months before Christmas comes again!
Karen and Nick had the most fantastic and relaxed day – even managing to work in their adorable pooches who escorted the bridesmaids up the aisle. Karen wore the most awesome burgundy coloured Doc’s with tartan laces (a little nod to her Scottish heritage) and they looked so amazing stomping around in the snow! Everything about the day was just so fun and everyone was even really happy when it came time to brave the snow. Of course there might have been a bit of ‘liquid warmth’ helping things out. They had a beautiful red sunset out on the Yorkshire hills followed by a super yummy meal and a best man’s speech featuring some seriously generously sized pants. The evening ended with non-stop piggyback rides on the dancefloor thanks to the most amazing ceilidh dance I have seen yet. C’mon… piggyback rides! Who doesn’t want that?
