‘ Sweet Lavender, Sweet London ‘ | London in July

I cannot believe that it has almost been a week (tomorrow) since we made our early start and boarded the train admittedly after some bone chilling panic that the tickets had been left behind on the console table …  Anyway after a quick train journey which was made so much quicker with the help of watching “Eat, Pray, Love” we had choo-choo’ed our way past Ally Pally and hot footed it to the taxi rank and made for 69 Brook Street, The Club. After settling into room no. 17 (utterly beautiful and it even had a room all of its own for the toilet!), quick re-application of make – up and a glass of sparkling (water) we made for Roberto. Ma’s appointment was first so I had a slight detour via Pretty Ballerinas, Butler & Wilson and then I managed to get hauled up for 15 minutes by one of those extremely crafty make-up sellers on South Molton St. Still cannot believe that I allowed myself to get hooked in (literally) for 15 minutes. Anyway, I then skittled along to Atherton Cox had the magic done on my hair, met with ma after and by this point we were in desperate ...
