Summer Storm - I

By Pmeurice
Working with Pastels on Landscape studies (memories and impressions from July are still vivid, and it's time to use them to work!)
As we were driving back from Le Mans to Paris, a Storm was crossing over the countryside, offering nice color contrasts. I was not driving, and took this opportunity to shoot few snapshots.
After selection, I decided to work on a succession of two or three landscapes. Also the occasion to work out of my usual square compositions and to give myself the challenge NOT to draw too much.

For those interested : The correction made through the final steps… Again, trying not to 'draw' but to play a bit more freely with the medium. I also decided to open the center of the landscape.
