STYLE: Look #34: Walnut Crunch

By Jsleigh14 @jsleigh14

As I attended the grand opening of a new bar downtown, I decided to wear a shirt and waistcoat to look dapper but not overdone. But instead of opting for evening colours, I chose earthy ones instead and ended up wearing all the shades of a walnut. I liked how these colours twisted up what could otherwise be mistaken as a bartender uniform.

I’m wearing:

Shirt – H&M
Vest – r.e.r.e (from Japan)
Pants – Banana Republic
Shoes – Kenneth Cole

Lately I’ve been trying to avoid shopping at H&M to save resources and closet space for items that are more worthwhile. However, during my last visit I was sold on this interesting patterned shirt that fit me to a tee. For $39.95 this was a pricier H&M item, but I suppose that’s because this shirt is made of a higher quality silky cotton fabric. I’ve never owned a shirt of this material before, but so far I’m liking how it feels on the skin as well as its easy care.
