Stila Limited Edition Christmas Brush SetLucky me was bought some beautiful Stila make up for Christmas, and what better way to use Stila make up than with some Stila make up tools! I actually bought these make up brushes after Christmas when they were on sale, reduced from £20 to just £13.33 in Boots. Amazing value I thought, considering an individual brush can cost £12-14. Each. Yet this is a Limited Edition set with the top 5 best sellers, all with a lovely festive blue handle!

Stila Limited Edition Christmas Brush Set

This set includes:

#33b – concealer brush
#33a – foundation brush
#24a – powder brush
#5 – all over shadow brush
#4 – precision eye liner brush

And if you don’t know which brush is which, you’ll find the code on each of the brushes. Although I’m not sure what each of the brushes are made of, I’ve found that brush #5 all over shadow brush is half pony and half goats tail, and this means that these brushes will last. The brushes have all been created to be anti-shed so you won’t get hairs coming off in your foundation, and yet they are all really smooth too. They have been carefully thought out to give you the best technique for each brushes individual application.

The really good thing about this set is that it enables you to fully do your make up, from your facial make up to your eye shadow. Although these brushes aren’t the very best quality available on the high street, they are certainly very good quality and I can see them lasting a long time. I like that they are really easy to use, and the blue handles and matching packaging are really unusual compared to the usual black. It’s easy to see why these are Stila’s most popular brushes, and they work really well for blending eye shadow, foundation and powder.

Whilst I think these brushes are really good and they definitely give a professional coverage, the large #24a powder brush does feel a little bit synthetic, and the #5 all over shadow brush seems to be retain a lot of eye shadow even after tapping it to remove excess powder. However, for the £13.33 price tag, or even the full price of £20, these brushes are a very good investment and I don’t regret buying them at all! I’m just pleased I got them when they did as the set is Limited Edition, although a similar set may be out later in the year – I hope!
