Star Products of the Month • September

By Kellilash @Kellilash

Time for another round up of what beauty items have stood out for me over the previous month and have had all my attention on a daily basis. There has been a lot of new launches occurring and many sneak previews of what is still to come on the beauty underground and my god, it is all incredible. Never have I been so indecisive about what I want to invest in so it is safe to say, my 'wishlist' is more of a 'wishbook'.

I have been shopping hard I have to a admit, but this is a good thing because now you get the low down on what is a hit, so be warned, you shall be tempted!

All the following products are all new buys of mine or were a PR sample, but nonetheless, ones that I am so glad I have discovered and own ...

I dont know why it has taken me so long to try this product because I have been meaning to ever since it launched. On my recent travels, I saw this travel sized version at the airport which was perfect for my first try and to keep in my travel makeup bag too as it is in a plastic bottle; Win win! I was sceptical about this really working as a primer but I have to say that this is such a lovely product. In just one spritz of this water you get all the benefits of a primer, hydration and radiance without the shine. It wakes your skin up and you can even use it throughout the day to add hydration to your skin. It is silicone, alcohol and oil free and perfect for all skins to use. For those that are lazy when it comes to priming this is your answer as there are no excuses seeing as this takes seconds to apply and the results in your makeup shall really show. It doesn't replace my favourite liquid primers but this is definitely a good one for those times when you need quick and easy, this is the guy for that job.

You can see that I love a spray or two and this has been on my hit list for a while after hearing such good reviews myself from fellow bloggers. Fix Make-Up Spray is a hydrating/refreshing mist that sets make-up unlike the primer water which goes on first, this goes on last and is misted over your completed made up face. It revives radiance to your skin that may have been lost due to a mattifying foundation or powder and gives the skin a boost with Vitamin C. It absorbs shine and fixes your make-up so that it stays in place the whole time you are wearing it. It smells of fresh roses which I just love and really calms and soothes the skin seeing as this is a treatment as opposed to just an ordinary make-up setting spray. It is perfect for any climate as it refreshes during the summer months then hydrates and soothes come the winter months. It really is a stunning make-up product that not only sets your makeup in place but helps to improve your skin at the same time so again, one that I highly recommend.

I mentioned about this brush on my Instagram because this has to be one of the nicest fan brushes that I have found to date. First of all I am a big fan of the Sepora Pro Brush Line as the quality is superb and they apply make-up effortlessly. Fan brushes are quite old fashioned but they are one of the best for applying highlighter to the tops of the cheeks as they 'tickle' the cheekbones so you apply just the right amount of product. This is the perfect size fan brush as some I have seen are too big, so this is just right and it is SO soft. If you are looking for a fan brush then try and get this if you can as it is a great one to have in your collection.

A new launch that has been all over Instagram and every beauty blog known to man as Marc Jacobs have hit gold with these stunning new Air Blushers. I have to say, as soon as I saw these on my IG feed, I was sold, I mean look at them - they are stunning. The stripe pattern is inspired by a Marc Jacobs dress but have been cleverly designed with two duo shades for customisable colour as they merge together to give a natural, beautiful finish. I went for the shade Kink and Kisses as this is the perfect peachy pink that shall suit many skin tones and go with so many make-up looks. The powder is so lightweight as they are air-whipped to give the most natural, radiant results and has been formulated without parabens, sulphates or phthalates. The stunning compact itself comes with a good sized mirror because this blush is huge making them a worthy investment as I can't see this running out anytime soon. All five shades are stunning, hence I now want them all.

I recently posted a full review of this amazing new brow launch You can get it and Bardou have kindly given my readers a
here so do check that blog post out for full details about this must have brow product. I can hand on heart say that ever since I received this, I have used it every day because I no longer can do my brows without it. The new Booster Brow , a one step brow gel that helps build and shape the brow and lasts for days. This miracle gel is enhanced with Permafix Technology and Hair Fiber Complex that produces hair like fibres to create the perfect brow shape. This semi permanent gel ! If you struggle with doing your brows or you love to do them, then this is the product for you. Trust me, you may be thinking I am not sure about this odd looking gel but it is honestly one of the best brow products I have ever used can last for up to four days (i.e. it's right up there with brow queen Anastasia Beverly Hills products) and one that shall be backed up to the ceiling as this makes brow life, easy .... #FleekLife.
10% discount using the code KELLYS10 ... trust me take full advantage as this is a KL star.

On to an eyeshadow quad that I deliberated over for hours whilst in store thinking "do I, don't I?" ... why I ever gave it a second thought I don't know because this is one stunning eyeshadow quad. It is quite rare to have an eyeshadow quad that consists of basically all pale shades but I for one always hit pan on the light shades in any palette first so this actually made sense. Plus it's nice to have something a little different as I own no other quad like it. This is part of which is very pretty, very feminine and quite the angelic look (think golden shimmery goddess!). The buttery, creamy shadows are a mix of champagne golds, sunset golds and gold glitter which I call a 'grown up glitter' making this perfect for anyone who wants to add a little sparkle to eye without looking too much. These tones are sure to make your eye colour pop because my blue eyes sparkle when I wear this quad! It works really well with many other palettes too by adding say a dark matte brown, bronze or plum shade into your crease along side the other shades, makes the whole look a little stronger, but for simple yet effective eyes, this is perfect. My advice to all reading now is if you see this quad, buy it and do not delay as it is limited edition and you shall kick yourself for not doing so.

* I posted the first image of this quad above to my account to which Charlotte Tilbury reposted to her very own Instagram feed. A very proud moment I have to say seeing as you all know how much of a Charlotte Tilbury fan I am! *

So the remake of a classic, good idea or bad idea? When I heard the news about Chanel making a new No5 I was very keen to try as I am a big fan of Chanel fragrances in general, my top favourite being Chance, but No5 is a timeless classic for sure. It was created way back in 1921 and has been the symbol of luxury for years. The New No5 L'Eau has had a modern, fresh and vibrant make-over as I believe to attract a new type of clientele as lets face it, it has always been associated as an 'older scent'. With top notes of Lemon, Mandarin and orang this has a more citrus feel with a heart of Rose, Jasmine and Ylang Ylang making this very modern indeed. As soon as I had a spritz, I was in love. Hence I bought the large size as value for money, it made better sense. Part of me was swayed by the bottle also as it really is timeless Chanel chic. Being an EDT this is not as long lasting as the EDP of course but on my skin, it lasts really well. Definitely one to go into a store and spray on you but I am in love with it as it makes me feel uber chic each time I wear it. I shall be posting a full review about this so stay posted to the blog!

which has been a summer staple for my skin but as the season has changed, I have suddenly found myself gravitating towards
A product that is already a firm friend to the blog as I posted a full review about this amazing face oil . For those of you who are familiar with that post or follow my Instagram then you shall know that Rosalena Face Oils have become a staple to my skincare routine as they are incredible at working some very impressive skin magic. I have raved about my beloved Rock and Rose. Rock and Rose (the best name) is a natural face oil enriched with vitamins and bio-actives that hydrate, rejuvenate and brighten the skin as well as the mind. The hydration this oil gives the skin is unbelievable and seeing as the colder weather has set upon my skin, it has been telling me I need to change up my routine. Adding Rock and Rose into my routine has given my skin such a boost, so much so that I am constantly getting compliments on how radiant it looks and to be fair, it really does! I now have equal love for both of these oils as they give my skin new life each an every time that I use them. I recommend Rosalena Face Oils time and time again as I shall continue to do so because when you have such faith in a brand then it becomes my duty to do so.
If you fancy trying them for yourself then use the code KelliLashLoves for 20% off! (Not sponsored, just a kind reader/thank you perk and hint hint, you may even get a luxury sample too!).
