Brea Lawrenson

Runaway Angel was unable to keep up their momentum from the previous  round to hold off the surging Brea Lawrenson (she’s been steadily steaming up the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist challenge and just over took 4th position and is closing in on 3rd as we speak so Runaway Angel better watch their back Brea has her sights set on them).   Of course if you want to learn more about Brea you can check out her feature: Getting to know Brea Lawrenson

Challenging Brea in this round is Sea Perry, the second last remaining Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist finalist to step up to the #SoundOff challenge.  Northern Ontario based Sea Perry brings a totally new sound to the table, it’s best described as a mashup of Folk, Pop, Country and Indie Rock.  To compare them to another artist would do them no justice as they are clearly in a league of their own, blazing their own way.  You’ll be able to learn more about the group and the story behind their music in our upcoming feature on the band.

To date Kaitlin Kozell has been the longest standing of the Top 8 with 2 straight wins, can Brea match that to move on to face Trinity Bradshaw or will Sea Perry give her “Nowhere to Go”?  You decide, watch the video and vote for your favorite.

Please remember that all of these artists are vying for performance position in this summer’s Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist competition which will be held at the event on August 2.  The winner of the competition will not only open for Hunter Hayes on August 3 they will also get a single release deal with Big Machine Label Group Canada as well as a week of industry training in Nashville, TN.  You can vote for Brea, Sea Perry or any of the Top 8 finalists at www.bootsandhearts.com/showcase

Round 2 will run until Wednesday at 5pm (EST)
