Thank you Dr. Scholl's for sponsoring this post. All opinions expressed in my post are my own.  If you have been around for a while, you might have noticed that I do not wear heels as often as I used to back when I started outfit blogging. There are several reasons for it like always being on a go, using public transport, and also suffering from some foot related issues. I am a stickler for good health, which means I feel at peace when all my organs are working fine, and there is no pain or injury to any part of my body. While everything is not in my control, but I definitely try and change my ways when it is possible. Below are some of the issue I was having when wearing heels too often:

BALL OF FOOT PAIN The ball of the foot is the portion of the foot between your arch and toes, where bones called your metatarsals are located. As you walk, your weight is transferred from your heel to the ball of your foot, and if the weight is unevenly transferred to the metatarsals and over the ball of your foot, pain and swelling of the area can occur.

TIRED ACHY FEET

Anyone can get sore, achy and tired feet. However, it is more likely to occur in people with flat or high-arched feet. It can also occur in people who are overweight, people who work on their feet all day and/or people who are not used to being on their feet who suddenly engage in a higher level of activity.

SHOE RELATED DISCOMFORT
But sometimes shoe discomfort can be more than merely annoying. It can actually lead to a host of other issues such as:
  • Corns: Small pea-sized bumps made of thickened hard skin
  • Bunions: A bump or swelling on the joint of the big toe that requires surgery to remove.
  • Blisters: Skin that has formed a raised bubble and is filled with fluid.

Fortunately, many of these issues aren’t serious and can be managed, but they can make it more difficult to move comfortably and confidently. One of the ways to avoid them is using a Custom Fit Orthotic. Dr. Scholl's state-of the-art pressure measurement system and Foot Mapping technology quickly measures your foot and recommends the Custom Fit Orthotic that is right for you. It uses 2,000 pressure sensors to create your unique FootMap.Find a kiosk at a select Walmart near you. There are 14 custom fit options available.

It stabilizes your arch, while the extra support layers are designed for customized cushioning and comfort.

While I have just started to wear Dr. Scholl's custom fit orthotics and can not speak to any clinical improvement to the pain but I have noticed that my feet are considerable less tired at the end of each day. Overall, I am excited to see how I will benefit from wearing Dr. Scholl's custom fit orthotics.
