Hello guys! I bring you today a Hard Rock band from California called Seventrain, which has released a fantastic self-titled debut album on February 2nd 2014.

Seventrain was born in 2012 in San Diego when Eric Horton, guitarist who had previous worldwide success with his former Power Metal band Cage, decided to meet some local musicians to play covers at a memorial show for the late Vincent John Crudo (“Big Vinnie”), who was a respected local sound technician and bass player in the Southern California area.

After that show, these guys begin a new musical project as a band called Seventrain and they decide to record an album with the material in which the guitarist Eric Horton and the vocalist Jon Campos had been working on.

With ex-musicians from bands like Kofi Baker, 6ONE9, My Middle Finger Dive Bomber, Cage and Tourniquet, Seventrain’s line-up is formed by Eric Horton and Jef Poremba on guitars, Joel Maitoza on drums, Jon Campos on vocals and Steve (Dino) Andino on bass, who replaced bassist Greg Rupp shortly after the recording of the album.

They started recording the debut album in the spring of 2013 at DML Studios with engineer Don Lithgow (Blink 182, New Found Glory, Finch) and finally this self-titled album has released under their own label So Cal Records/Alliance Entertainment on February 2nd 2014, and it’s available now on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.

Seventrain album has been receiving favorable reviews by critics worldwide, we can find many different influences on the album, but no doubt these guys have a marked 70′s Hard Rock sound very cool and highly recommended.

The album contains eleven tracks with a very good sound and production and I think it’s a fantastic Hard Rock album from these guys. Songs like “Bittersweet Seduction” with a great melody and great guitar riffs or “Bleeding” and “Change” with fantastic guitar solos are amazing tracks highly recommended in the album.

“How Does It Feel” is a song very cool with amazing voices which remember me at times of Ronnie James Dio, the same occurred on “Let It Out” song. “Never” is another awesome track with really fantastic guitar riff. “Broken” and “Pain”, with their acoustic guitars by the vocalist Jon Campos, are amazing songs full of feeling and fantastic voices. Definivetly, Jon is an amazing vocalist.

“Carry The Cross” is another great song in the album which you can enjoy by clicking the following link.
