Sea life of Naxos and on the way to the island from Athens. Shallow waters in front of the peninsula of Agios Georgios.

Leaving the harbor of Piraeus early morning. Everybody’s full of hope for the approaching destinations Stand up padding between Orkos beach and Parthenos island. The chapel on the islet is dedicated to the Holy Mary, that is why the name “parthenos”, “generated without sex”. The same root name for the Parthenon Temple,  dedicated to Athena, a goddess “generated without sex” from the head of Zeus.
