Scepticemia Enters FeedSpot’s Top 100 Healthcare Blogs ListThis past week I have been snowed in under an absolute avalanche of work (both on the personal and professional fronts), so much so that I have not even had enough time to check and respond to my pending emails. One of these unread mails was waiting with some great news for me. A while back, when I had suddenly experienced an exacerbation of the will to blog, I ended up writing a few posts, changing the look of the blog, moving to self-hosted wordpress, and conduct some housekeeping in general. During that phase, I ended up submitting my blog to directories, hoping that it would bolster the sagging view counts (which, I know, are the result of me not blogging often enough!). One of this was FeedSpot, which had a great list of 100 healthcare blogs. Last week, I received an email, which, not being work-related, lay unread till tonight. Here’s the body of the mail:

So, it seems that I have been lucky enough to be selected for the top 100 healthcare blogs, and trust me when I say this: I seem to be in august company here. With contenders like TedMed and HealthAffairs.org leading the pack, I almost feel like a charlatan being on the list, given how little material I have generated over the past year or so.

After the nomination for the Indiblogger Best Blog award for 2017 in the category of Science>Medicine, I think this is yet another kick in the pants which should give me the fillip I need to get back on the blogging wagon.

Fingers crossed and hoping for the best!
