Sankofa African Drum & Dance Ensemble [Orange You Glad It's Friday]

   Having performed previously with the Sankofa African Drum & Dance Ensemble, I am still a member and was allowed to photograph their dress rehearsal last week. The majority of dancers are undergraduate students at State University of NY at Brockport; the drummers are a mix of current students, alumni and members of the Rochester community.  I was pleased to see that there are a number of images suitable for posting on OYGIF,  and I’d like to share these with you today. The  Rochester newspaper, Democrat & Chronicle, publishes a daily panorama, submitted by local photographers. The top image appeared in the Sunday, May 4th edition.
