It’s with great relief that one writing draft is out of the way and the other is nearing completion — I’m itching to get back to photography!

While I work on this, I leave you with some photos of graceful (and ungraceful) birds from our last full day in Vancouver, when we visited George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary with my family and friends. The ducks were fun (check out this video I shot of them skating), but I was really after the sandhill cranes, as you can see. So elegant!
