Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) is joining the film adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars. Based on the novel by John Green, Trammell will play the father of a young woman diagnosed with cancer while Laura Dern will play the mother.
Shailene Woodley play the daughter who falls in love with a fellow cancer patient. Filming on the movie will begin later this month in Pittsburgh, PA.
The Fault in Our Stars is the second movie Trammell will be doing this year after the indie Aftermath. He will soon be seen in Crazy Kind of Love and has Things People Do and Me awaiting release as well.
