Brooklyn band Rubblebucket is breaking out of the indie dance niche. Their new album Omega La La has more jazz tinged vocals a la The Bird and The Bee. Musically they take cues from Krautrock and late eighties bands like The Sugarcubes - Came Out of a Lady is catchy and left field, a rare feat.

The funk is still there, but old school keyboards and of ska brass and rock steady beats are more prominent. Rubblebucket have involved into an adventurous party band that will get a thumbs up from both the dance floor crowd and the music geeks. Slap on a pair of headphones and you will be sucked into a musical kaleidoscope.

Alex Toth: trumpet, hyperkinetics, vox, percussion
Kalmia Traver: lead vocals, tenor sax, bariton sax
Adam Dotson: trombone, vox, percussion
Darby Wolf: synths, organ
David Cole: drums
Ian Hersey: electric guitar
Craig Myers: percussion, n'goni
Jordan Brooks: bass
