Oh hey, it’s Labor Day! That means actually not doing any work and just kicking back and…oh…never mind. I guess since I’m writing this now, that means I’m still working and all. Oh well.

Anyways, let’s get to this week’s Reference Resource Mondays or something.

  • So yeah, this ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has spread too far now! Thanks We Are Geeking Out. Thanks!!!
  • Considering I went through my backlog experience, I can see where E Minor’s going with his unfinished business feature. I can also see how he would want to try and finish up what the heck happened in BTOOOM!…for a lot of reasons.
  • Oh hey, here’s Anne continuing to advertise her time in Japan. Or in other words, making me supremely jealous as I save up as much money as possible to go out there one day.
  • And just before August ends, here’s a review of Kanon AIR Piano Arrangement from MercuryLampe. Not bad I say!
  • Frog-Kun decided that you should all know who Kenji Miyazawa is. I mean, the anime that reference him should give you a tip-off! So he’s now doing just that: talking about Kenji’s works that were adapted into anime.
  • The Reverse Thieves got a chance to speak with Sunao Katabuchi, who you may know as the director Mai Mai Miracle and Black Lagoon. I wonder who snuck in that Sherlock Hound question…
  • It’s hard to turn down a post where the blogger with the anniversary admits they’re of the age to buy porn. I mean…how can I not include that!??!
  • For someone living in Sweden, like Marow is, finding someone close by who actually likes the stuff he likes is pretty tough.
  • I still can’t believe that Pokken Fighters is going to be a thing. No, really, I’m actually shocked.
  • Here’s Part III of Fantasy Races in Japanese Video Games, from Kathryn.
  • Finally, Lauren’s gonna be writing for ANN? noooooooooooooooo! Someone save her soul!!!

Tweets and Labor Mix Well

Social media thrives in a 2D world and gets very confused when things have more than two sides and a bit of depth.

Is fanart of a video game with an anime style considered 'anime'. *lights pipe and sits back in chair* What even IS anime.
