Red Sox Ownership Needs Their Sellout Record So Their Lowering Beer Prices

Via WEEI:  ”In another clear sign that the Red Sox are facing issues with ticket sales this season, the team will be offering discounts on food and drinks in April.  The offers include two-for-one specials on hot dogs, a $2.50 discount on beer, a $2.25 break on hot chocolate, and free kids meals before the third inning.”

Red Sox Ownership Needs Their Sellout Record So Their Lowering Beer Prices

Ha!  How great is this?  The Red Sox are so desperate to keep their sell-out streak alive that they’re cool with people getting absolutely crunked at Fenway this spring.  A $2.50 discount in beer is legit.  Over the course of 7-8 innings you’re probably getting a few extra beers for the money you were planning on spending. That means you’re probably bypassing the 2 for 1 hot dogs so you can smash another Boston Lager.   Hey, ownership, great work.  Think about the Patriot’s Day game this year.  Early start, Boston Marathon, sun comes out; it’s going to be an absolute shit show.  Is this what Henry and his group wants?  For the entire stadium to be boozed up so they can keep some streak that no one cares about but themselves?

Jesus this is a terrible idea.  Get ready for some crazy things this spring at Fenway.

P.S. We all know that the hot dogs and hot chocolate we’re just collateral damage.  They needed something else to discount with the beer and those may be the most family friendly options available.
