REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY
While the Joe Gorga hat count was relatively low this week with only 3 hats, did you happen to notice the amount of crosses worn in this episode? I lost count to be quite honest, but there were an awful lot of crucifix's for all of these sinners!  There were some real doozies coming out of our NJ cast this week. Of course the best of the bunch came from the oh so eloquent Joe Giudice when explaining the Napoleon complex to Teresa at Milania's soccer game. Joe believes his wife's brother suffers from this affliction. Interesting that he made no comments about his wife's choice of a fur ensemble for their daughters INDOOR soccer practice. I'm really starting to hate Richie Wakile. I used to think he was funny, but now...not so much. He's almost as bad as the rest of them with the way he treats his wife.  Kathy knows it, she sees it, and it's really starting to get to her too. I sense trouble in the Wakile household.  Teresa and Rosie met at Pub 611 for some drinks and some screaming, but once Teresa asked Rosie to "sober down" things seemed to get better, I even think they ended on a good note, but to be honest, I wasn't sure. It looks like every one's going on a holistic retreat to work out their differences. We'll see if that actually works. Not sure how long Caroline and Al have been living in the Hoboken apartment, but Al finally decided to cook something and realized that he hated the burners on the stove. I know the guys never around, but didn't he check out the kitchen before putting down the deposit?  I get the feeling he's not loving Hoboken and wants to head back to the mansion asap. Little does he know that his huge house has become Aunt Frannie's Petting Zoo! Seems that the Manzo kids perception of their parents marriage is a bit interesting, but perhaps accurate. Al was never around since he worked so much and so hard, so that's why their parents marriage worked so well. Now none of the Manzo kids want to get married unless they can marry someone who doesn't mind them not being there. Interesting.  Very interesting.
BIG BROTHER
Okay, where to begin here? There is just SO much to discuss that I think I need bullet points so even though it's not an award show...I need to go that route with the show:
  • David is NOT good looking and his hair is RIDICULOUS, the fact that Aaryn thinks he's unbelievable makes me nuts.
  • The entire cast uses the word "like" WAY too much and it's bugging the sh*t out of me
  • I love Andy and I don't want to be mean but those ears remind me of Baby New Year!
  • The girls now have code names for the boys so in case you need a cheat sheet: Ken=David, Jeremy=Sailor and Nick=Big (not Manhattan).
  • The boys also have a secret name for their alliance: The Moving Company which consists of McCrae, Nick, Howard, Spencer & Jeremy.  I actually like this alliance and their secret name.
  • Not sure who said it, but I loved the comment about how Jeremy sounds so stuffed up all the time. "Can I blow your nose for you?" classic.
  • I think that I can't stand Elissa MORE than I couldn't stand Rachel. I didn't think it could be possible to have someone even more annoying than Rachel...but there is. Holiday gatherings at the Reilly household have to be torture.  Pure torture.
  • The Have Not room is awesome. It's set up like coach seating on an airplane. That is torture and brilliant. Love it!
  • The red team sucked so badly during the competition. Howard's gorgeous body was completely useless and Judd was also pathetic.
  • David's great line of the evening: "I know the water by heart". OMG this guy is such a tool.
  • With all of today's technology, I still love the ridiculous simplicity and stupidity of the giant lazy susan/key holder and the giant gold key necklaces. You'd think they'd update this thing each season, but nope...it's still heavy, bulky, insanity...but I love it!
  • I think that McCrae wimped out with his nominations, but it's only week one, and we still have the anonymous BBMVP Nomination coming our way soon.  Let's hope it's a good one!
NEWS & INFORMATION
-The new comScore report on mobile is out and I absolutely feel the need to share:
  • Apple ranked as the top smartphone manufacturer with 39% market share
  • Samsung ranked 2nd with 23% market share followed by HTC with 8.7% and Motorola with 7.8% and LG with 6.7%
  • 141 million people in the US own a smartphone (that's 59% mobile penetration and up 6% since February
  • Android ranked as the top smartphone platform with 52.4% market share. Apple was second with 39.2% followed by Blackberry with 4.8%

-It's not a shock AT ALL that Brittany, Puck, Mercedes and Mike will not be returning to Glee next season. They graduated to May's ago and really, it's time for them to get a life and not show up to save the day at McKinley they way they had been last season.
-I'm really looking forward to the new Netflix drama, Orange is the new Black which premieres next week on 7/11. The folks from Weeks are behind this one and it's getting a lot of buzz so much so, that  Netflix has already renewed it for a second season before the first episode even airs! Netflix is on a role, so let's hope it keeps going with this one.
-I don't know if it's good news for SNL or not, but KSL-TV, the Mormon owned NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City has changed its mind and decided that after YEARS of not airing the show, they are going to begin running it in the fall. Great for my cousin who lives in SLC, but not sure what that means...is SNL not cutting edge enough? Mormons now think it's okay? Maybe this is actually
-I guess a lot of people DVR'ed Under the Dome last week. I wonder if they were all as disappointed as I was. Doesn't mean we won't be back for more, just means we hope it gets better. Anyway the mini-series picked up over 3 million viewers over the course of the week and brought the RA18-49 number up to a 4.3.  Now if only we cold
-Not such a happy ending for Happy Endings.  There was a lot of hope and speculation that it would be cable rescued a la Cougar Town, but as of now, that dream is over and Happy Endings has been declared DEAD.

Okay, we're done with the WWTMMY nominations for Best Actor in a Drama. This week its time for you to give me your Best Actress nominees for a Drama. Send um in. I know it's a short week, but come on...send um through.
