Rascal Learning How to Play the Guitar

By Upliftingfam @upliftingfam

When I woke up this morning, I found that Rascal had removed a guitar Christmas ornament from the Christmas tree.  He was busy learning how to play the guitar.  The sound coming from the guitar was awful.  In fact, it was so bad that I had to go get a pair of ear plugs.

Rascal still has a way to go before he is a star musician.  Did you know that you or your child can easily learn how to play guitar or another instrument?  Learning how to play music not only enhances your child’s creativity but it is a proven fact that music improves their ability to learn.  Music makes your child has to use their senses and listening skills to learn the words, beat, and rhythm.

My daughter has been in band for 4 years and it has greatly improved her academically.  As most of my readers know, she was born deaf and wears two cochlear implants.  I am amazed how quickly she learned her instrument and how well she has excelled at marching band.  I feel that band has helped her overcome obstacles and to prove that even kids with special needs can find things in their lives to help them overcome obstacles.
