I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been stressed out recently. We’ve had so much going on and are waiting for so many answers that will affect our lives for the next few years. Did I mention the kids are out of school for the summer? It’s been a little bit of a challenge to get anything done around here. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I sleep like crap or if it’s my anxiety flaring up but I have also been extremely exhausted. Like to the point where I could fall asleep mid-afternoon and possibly sleep through the night. Someone, send relief please?

Chai Tea has always been one of my go-to drinks when I’m feeling down. There’s something about it that is almost comforting. Can a drink be comforting? Why yes, yes it can. I recently tried NEW TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods; made from milk, tea leaves and spices, it’s a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla flavor. It’s like wrapping up in a warm, cozy blanket… tacky maybe but it really does make me feel better!

Despite it being summer and nine hundred degrees in Georgia, my husband and I sat by the fire the other day and just sipped this deliciousness. He had never tried one before and let’s just say I may have gotten him hooked. When the kids go to sleep or I catch a few minutes alone in the morning, I try to take that time and just be. Sometimes I overwhelm myself by looking at the big picture instead of taking things one thing at a time. And sitting over a warm cup of tea allows me to just relax and get a fresh start.

Do you need a few minutes to recharge? TAZO has partnered with New York Times Bestselling author and host Padma Lakshmi to celebrate the release of the new K-Cup® pods. Tea and chai have always been a part of Padma Lakshmi’s life and family heritage and she is excited to celebrate the flavors of chai with TAZO. Visit TAZO.com/chai/pairings to check out some recipes to pair with your cup of chai!
