Verdict on Prime

Prime is a horror thriller following a man who finds his life falling apart after his father’s death. He gets haunted by his memories while exploring the world of real horror created by his mind. However, he doesn’t know how to handle things, which could see him lose everything that kept him happy.

This is a movie that targets everyday horrors created by grief. It shows us how emotions take over and cause devastating effects on the loved ones around you. While Richard Gau is the lead in the movie, Nomsa Twala gives one of the standout performances. Her scene about her own struggles in the world is demanding, attention-grabbing and one that makes you pause and think about the bigger problems in the world. Deep down this is a movie that focuses on not dealing with past traumas which could return to haunt you.
